Hi Everyone:

I am Betty Parcher and I am a Holistic Person. From the time I was 10 years old, I wanted to be a Nurse, but I let my FEAR get in the way of that and it didn’t happen. Here’s the thing though, I had a few passions namely: nursing, fitness & nutrition. Since I let FEAR get in the way of my nursing career & other life circumstances, I pursued my fitness & nutrition passion. The Fitness Path worked out well, the nutrition passion followed a little more slowly, until recently. I have worked for 35+ years as a Rehabilitative Exercise Therapist, which I loved because I could teach both exercise and nutrition together. I ran 5 ½ marathons after turning 50 using my fitness and nutrition knowledge. My Nutrition Path has always been a passion, as my children can attest to. They still tease me about getting 2 home baked cookies in their school lunches…

I think that more importantly though, now is the time that we as parents have to be in control of what our children are eating, at home and at school. Our children are going to be the future services of our countries and at this rate they are becoming diabetics at 20 years of age and are also obese at 20 years of age and younger. This was not heard of when I was 20 years of age.

Mission Statement

Hello To All.   I am Betty, a Holistic Nutrition & Weight Loss Coach as well as a Rehabilitative Exercise Therapist.  I am the founder and owner of Vital Path Nutrition.   Let me share my mission for this company and my story of why I created it.

I have, over several years, watched & helped several family members & friends who are and have been dealing with several health issues, all of which are mainly due to a lack of knowledge regarding both eating a Whole Food/Real Food based diet and Food Addiction.

I have seen a rise in diabetes, high blood pressure, knee replacements, low energy, inflammation, and arthritis – all requiring some degree of medication.  This doesn’t have to be, simply by changing from a highly processed diet to a Whole Food/Real Food way of eating.

It breaks my heart to see so many overweight/obese young people, developing these diseases because of a lack of knowledge and Food Addictions.

My mission is to join with other professionals to work with clients who are ready for change. Together, you can stop spending your dollars on highly processed, high-sugar, and high (unhealthy) fats that are making you sick and keeping you sick.

My Company was established to work with families, where obese pre-teens and teens are trying to turn those challenges into wins.

I am dedicated to working with you to provide sound guidance, education, coaching and practical tools to help create lifelong healthy meal times and habits, while helping the whole family sit down together, enjoying delicious & nutritious meals together.

FAQ

1. Should breakfast be my biggest meal and why…

A rule of thumb is to eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Queen and dinner like a Pauper. The reason for this is that your body has fasted for 12 or more hours and you will need to fuel it up to sustain your energy levels with a good start to whole food nutrients early in the day and then maintain that sustained energy with smaller amounts to the end of the day, but only to a certain time of the evening!

2. Why do I have all of these cravings for junk food?

Junk food isn’t really food at all! It is JUNK! The reason why you crave it is: the ingredients that are in this junk tampers with your brain and the hormones that make you hungry and tell you that you are full. One of the main things this JUNK does to your brain is continue to tell you that you want more and more of the JUNK.

3. What are food addictions?

A food addiction is in your brain. It is when you experience cravings out of your control. Signs are, when you want something so badly that you cannot have it in the house, or you will eat it. Another sign is that you crave something so badly that you will go out to get it. Another addiction sign is that you simply cannot stop eating, even when you know you have had enough to eat already. Obsessing over what you have eaten, did I fail at my meal plan, did I have too many calories etc. are also part of food addiction signs. 4. How can I stay focused on my Weight Loss Journey?

First and foremost: have a support system in place. Parents, families and likeminded friends are wonderful support people. Vital Path Nutrition will mentor you and your family to success every step of the way and I want you to remember that there are NO Failures, Only Lessons! We’re here to compassionately listen, mentor and help!
